  17. <p>     Margaret Thatcher once confidently predicted that her
  18. political reign would "go on and on." Now chafing in forced
  19. retirement, the former British Prime Minister apparently intends
  20. to apply that philosophy to the writing of her memoirs. Thatcher
  21. is talking about dividing her life story into three or four
  22. volumes, more than potential U.S. publishers hope to see--or
  23. sell. Perhaps the Iron Lady wishes to continue emulating her
  24. idol Winston Churchill, who wrote more than two dozen books
  25. during his lifetime.
